The “$1,000 Win-Win” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Giving Forward, Inc. (“Sponsor”), a public charity that is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.  You may contact Sponsor concerning any questions or concerns about this Sweepstakes at Giving Forward, Inc., 6 Donellan Rd., Scarsdale, NY 10583.

ENTRY PERIOD:

The Sweepstakes begins on August 28th, 2023 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time and ends on December 31, 2024, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All dates and times below refer to Eastern Time.

ELIGIBILITY:

This Sweepstakes is only open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. This Sweepstakes is not open to employees of Sponsor or any of its advertising or promotion agencies, prize providers, or other participating organizations (“Partners”) or their affiliates, or members of the immediate family or household of each. For purposes of clarification, “immediate family” means parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, siblings and spouse, regardless of where they reside.

Sweepstakes is void in Cuba, Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, the Province of Quebec, Brazil, France, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, Mexico, and the UK and any place where offering the Sweepstakes or awarding the applicable prize is prohibited. Individuals listed on the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) List are not eligible to enter. Any entries from residents of the foregoing countries or from any other ineligible persons will be void, and a prize will not be awarded to such persons.

HOW TO ENTER:

You may enter the Sweepstakes at any time during the Sweepstakes Period by completing an online registration form including submitting your email address via promotions made available by Sponsor on its websites (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Website”), including Sweepsforacause.org or Sweeps4acause.org, or by its Partners on their websites. To register, you will need to agree to these Official Rules and the Sweepstakes Website Privacy Policy a choice of whether you want to enter for free. Upon completion of the registration process, including verification of your email address by clicking on a link included in the registration confirmation email message, you will be entered in the Sweepstakes, assuming you meet the conditions in these Rules.

Eligible individuals who complete the entry process are referred to in these Official Rules as “Entrant(s),” and entries that are submitted are referred to in these Official Rules as “Entries.”

Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. All fields must be completed. Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, late, lost, inaccurate or misdirected Entries and such will not be accepted, acknowledged or returned.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with or manipulating the entry process, entering or attempting to enter the Sweepstakes in violation of these Official Rules, or the use of any robotic or automated devices to submit entries; and Sponsor may invalidate any Entries submitted in violation of these Official Rules. If Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that technical difficulties, malfunction, error, disruption or damage or other unforeseen events compromise the administration, security, fairness, integrity, proper conduct or viability of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to void the Entries at issue and/or cancel or postpone the Sweepstakes. In the event a Sweepstakes is canceled, all entries into such Sweepstakes will be deemed null and void, all donations will be refunded to the donors thereof, no winners will be selected and no prizes will be delivered.

Entry Details:

You may enter the Sweepstakes for free. Each valid submission of a 1 entry. You may enter for free once per 24-hour period. Additional bonus entries for additional behaviors are permitted as described below.

Not all additional Entry methods may be available during some or all of the Sweepstakes Period, and each additional Entry method may provide a different number of bonus Entries as specified at the time such opportunity is presented.

All additional Entry options require registration and verification of email address.

SELECTION OF WINNER; PRIZE:

A random drawing to select one (1) prize winner from among all eligible Entries submitted during the Sweepstakes Period will be conducted on or about January 15, 2025. The odds of winning are subject to the total number of eligible Entries received. The Entrant who submitted the winning Entry will be eligible for the award of a prize in the amount of USD $1,000. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device and Entrant / Entries tracking system used for the Sweepstakes.

The Sweepstakes Site and other websites that promote the Sweepstakes may depict hypothetical ways to spend a cash prize. Any such depictions are for illustrative purposes only and do not represent additional prizes or require that you spend a prize in any particular way.

Sponsor will notify the potential winner by email using the email address that Entrant provided during the Entry process within 10 days after the prize drawing. If the Entrant provided a phone number, Sponsor may also call that phone number to notify the potential winner, similarly, if a postal address was provided, Sponsor may use mail or overnight delivery services to alert the potential winner. No substitutions are allowed, except that any prize is subject to availability, and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within 10 days of receipt. Failure to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules may result in a winner’s disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Except where prohibited, the acceptance of any prize in the Sweepstakes constitutes the winner’s irrevocable consent to the publication or other use of his/her/their name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.

You (Winner) may not transfer the prize unless Sponsor consents in writing; however, you may elect to have the prize awarded to the Charity you selected. You may, but are under no obligation to, use any cash prize to buy a product or service that may be promoted in connection with the Sweepstakes. The winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with the receipt or use of the prize. The winner may waive the right to receive the prize or elect to have any portion of the prize contributed by Sponsor to Entrant’s designated Charity instead of to the winner. Otherwise, prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. Should the potential winner decide to decline a prize for any reason whatsoever, an alternative potential winner will be selected.

GOVERNING LAW; JURISDICTION:

Any issues concerning the validity, interpretation or enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrants and Sponsor, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, USA, without giving effect to any conflict of law rules which might find otherwise. By entering the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby submit to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts in the County and State of New York and waive the right to have disputes arising out the subject matter hereof adjudicated in any other forum.

RELEASE:

In exchange for the right to participate in the Sweepstakes, the prize winner agrees, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its Partners and the affiliates officers, directors, employees and agents of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in or in connection with the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. The releases hereunder are intended to apply to all claims not known or suspected to exist with the intent of waiving the effect of laws requiring the intent to release future unknown claims.

DISCLAIMER:

THE SPONSOR HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ANY PRIZES AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ANY PRIZE IS AWARDED “AS IS.” TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF SPONSOR TO ANY ENTRANT IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE SHALL NOT, IN ANY EVENT, EXCEED THE USD$10.00 (TEN DOLLARS).

PRIVACY POLICY:

Information provided by you for this Sweepstakes, including the Entry, is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. By entering this Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees that Sponsor has the right to contact the Entrant using the email address and/or the phone number provided during winner verification, in order to administer and fulfill this Sweepstakes.

WINNER(S)’ LIST:

A list of the winner(s) will be posted on www.sweepsforacause.org within 30 days, and will be available for at least 90 days, after the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
